To end our post on aloe vera, we want you some information that has caught our attention and seems quite curious to us.

🌱 In 5 years the plant already has an adult stem and its active ingredients are very effective. (Our plants are over eight years old).

🌱 Aloe lives between 10 and 15 years.

🌱 Never collect all the leaves, only those that are in the lower range, generally between 3 and 4 lower leaves.

🌱 To produce 1 kg or 1 liter of juice, between 6-10 leaves are needed.

🌱 Good leaves are 50 cm long, 5 cm thick, weigh 500gr.

🌱💦 Aloe vera juice that has been extracted from whole leaves is of less quality than that obtained only from the inner pulp. (Without the green outer layer).

🌱 The PH of aloe is between 4.5 and 4.9

🌱 In Central America the plant is still cultivated as in the time of the Mayans, in the shade of mangoes, papayeros, lemon trees,… Also in parts of Spain it is cultivated in this way.
